Unrest grows in Iran

Protests rocked Tehran after officials admitted on Saturday to accidentally shooting down a Ukrainian airliner, killing all 176 on board. Demonstrators are calling for the resignation of Iran’s leaders, who had repeatedly denied responsibility for the crash. Reuters

	Meanwhile, President Trump and his aides defended the January 3 strike that killed Iran’s top general, though they had different accounts of the intelligence that prompted the attack. The Wall Street Journal

Severe weather swept the U.S. this weekend, with storms, heavy winds, tornadoes, flooding, and hail hitting the South and Midwest. At least 11 people were killed, and hundreds of thousands were left without power. USA Today
