A Boeing 737 crashed, killing all 176 people on board. The Ukraine International Airlines flight departed Tehran for Kyiv and went down shortly after takeoff. Initial inspections reportedly pointed to a technical failure. (The jet did not have the Boeing feature blamed for previous crashes.) The Wall Street Journal
A fresh impeachment standoff: Mitch McConnell said he was ready to move forward with a trial without agreeing up front to allow more witnesses. But Nancy Pelosi has shown no inclination to send the House’s impeachment articles to the Senate, the formal step necessary to kickstart the proceedings.
