Trump and his allies say the original request — seven to nine years in prison — was too harsh, while critics accuse the DOJ of abandoning its independence. Los Angeles Times
The head of the Iowa Democratic Party, Troy Price, has resigned following last week’s caucus debacle. Results were delayed because of inconsistencies in reporting, and an official winner still hasn’t been determined.
